The MedFood TThubs project aims to support the implementation of full-path tracing practices through the whole distribution channel from seed to shelf. For that purpose, Med Food TTHubs developed and supported the operation of a “Voluntary Scheme of Traceability of MED foods” through the use of a dedicated web-based platform.
The platform which was recently set up was tested in Tunisia via training sessions that were spread over 3 groups of pilot players, during which we have explained how to sign in to the platform, manipulate the different modules that exist there as we have shown how to browse it to enter their personal information concerning their sites and products.
In this context
We succeeded so far in training 7 farmers, 5 processors, and 2 wholesalers in the supply chain of pomegranates in the region of Testour.
The pilot players are called in a second phase to complete a questionnaire which will be communicated to them in order to assess the performance of the e-platform as well as the usefulness and applicability of the MedFood TThubs approach at the local level and help with improving it at the future.
