After something more than two years of, Covid-19 restrictions, and all the hurdles that this reality entailed, the Thessaloniki’s International Fair (TIF) was back and in full operation after the coronavirus pandemic. Thus, MED Food TTHubs traveled to Thessaloniki and was represented in the 86th TIF leaving its mark on this year’s event from 10 to 18 September.
This impactful event constitutes the oldest fair of its kind in South-Eastern Europe, is the main and largest trade fair in Greece and every year attracts senior government officials, hundreds of thousands of visitors and numerous exhibitors, from both public and private sectors.
CERTH’s partners had a 9-day constant presence in the event, which was an exceptional occasion in order to share the project’s core values and objectives, raise awareness on the importance and current challenges of traceability and food safety, as well as accentuating the innovative approach that aims to the reforming of tracing and authenticity procedures of traditional Mediterranean foods. In this context, it was a great opportunity to interact with a plethora of people, grasp their point of view and have a meaningful diffusion of ideas!
