For over one and a half years, MED Food TTHubs partners have been working on developing the core concepts that will support the implementation of full-path tracing practices through the whole distribution channel from seed to shelf. However, February marked the end of a very busy period for MED Food TTHubs and the 1st periodic Review Meeting is a fact!
On Thursday 3rd of February, the consortium met virtually and presented the progress of the work carried out in the first half of the project to the Project Officer, Dr. Mohamed Wageih, and to the expert external reviewer, Mr. Ahmed Rebai.
All seven work packages have now started and MED Food TTHubs is in full swing! During the meeting, Dr. George Banias, the Coordinator of the MED Food TTHubs project, offered an overview of all the work done, shared the key outcomes and presented the main impacts achieved. Therefore, many topics have been discussed, ranging from the development of the e-platform to end-users for pilot activities and possible exploitation of research results. The fruitful discussions on current activities and results pointed out the main focus points for the future steps and facilitated the design of the activities for the next implementation stages. The representatives from the PRIMA Foundation delivered the closing remarks and conclusions, emphasising the excellent work and results achieved and encouraging all partners to continue working on the development of the traceability e-platform.
After such a busy day, MED Food TTHubs ends the first reporting period with a lot of ideas exchanged and plenty of food for thoughts for the months to come. What this means, essentially, is that you should stay tuned and check regularly our website or social media, as you will be soon able to check our e-platform, and, if you are interested, register in our various events.
We are really looking forward to the second half of MED Food TTHubs lifetime!
