Do you remember we wrote about our first training workshop organised in Greece, to raise awareness of MED Food TTHubs locally and test a primary version of our e-platform? Here’s the second one: Jordan.
On the 8th of November 2022, another training session was organised for our stakeholders in Jordan. The event was held in in the premises of the Marriott Dead Sea Resort. This time, our workshop, which is part of the demonstration and testing process of the MED Food TTHubs e-platform, aimed not only to engage interested stakeholders and end-users in the pilot activities, but also to prepare them to adopt and use traceability and authenticity control procedures in their business’ daily activities. Besides that, the training session intended to the evaluation of the applicability and the efficiency of the established and developed e-platform and its components by the local stakeholders, as well as to feedback collection towards the improvement of the e-platform.
The day started with an introductory speech by Dr. George Banias, the Coordinator of the MED Food TTHubs project, and representatives from Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) who hosted the event. Then, presentations, demonstration of the MED Food TTHubs e-platform, and a thorough interactive discussion followed. The focus was put on the promotion of the developed e-platform, its functions, performance, and usability, where the diverse mix of participants provided insightful comments and feedback.
