On the 14th of May the first MED Food TTHubs workshop was successfully held in Possidi!
The event was organised by CERTH, with the support of GP, in the premises of the Possidi Holidays Hotel in Chalkidiki. The interest was directed on the e-platform, which undeniably is a focal point for the program. Through a training session, the partners were the first to test a primary version of MED Food TTHub’s e-platform and practically witness the results of their extensive research in action.
The day started with an introductory speech by Dr. George Banias, the Coordinator of the MED Food TTHubs project, while Dr. Nikos Tsotsolas of GP presented the MED Food TTHubs e-platform. The diverse mix of participants set the stage for exploring the barriers and opportunities that will be offered by the e-platform during the pilot cases. More specifically, GP presented an overview of the e-platform describing the main modules, their key functionalities. Under this framework, GP also presented some examples cases providing direct access to the e-platform and using the respective module(s). After the demonstration of the e-platform, representatives from the consortium’s partners discussed about its services and its main functionalities.
In the second part of the workshop, a new synergy was established! Epimorfotiki Kilkis, the coordinator of the MED-QUAD project, provided an overview of the MED-QUAD activities and its overall objectives, along with relevant actions that could be potentially exploited under the MED Food TTHubs context. Epimorfotiki Kilkis stressed the importance of joint activities and experience exchange between the two projects.
This is, however, only the beginning. There is more to come, especially when the different use cases will be piloted during the project.
Stay tuned and keep checking our updates!
